Adults and children alike from Punnetts Town C.P. School are enjoying their weekly outings to the woods very much. We’ve been spotting signs of spring, identifying winter twigs, collecting kindling wood, hunting for invertebrates, building shelters for different creatures, building bridges over the stream, sawing and whittling greenwood, creating nature-god effigies from natural materials, playing lots of games and drinking hot chocolate. Thank you to all of Year 5 and Year 1 and their brilliant supporting adults. Looking forward to working with Year 3 and 4 next term.
Unfortunately we will NOT be running a session this autumn half-term.
We’ll be back in 2017 if not before, so get in touch to be added to the mailing list to hear about future dates.
Good old English summertime… Once again we are having to keep an eye on the weather and will be risk assessing the site in advance of Thursday’s session. We will be confirming arrangements tomorrow and will be in touch if you have booked on.
Lucky you if you made it in time… sorry if you didn’t – you’ll have to be quick next time! Which won’t be til Easter 2016… unless anyone wants to book a special birthday party or school visit, in which case, get in touch!
Coming soon in 2016… adult workshops… and a possible change of location…
In the meantime, yuletide greetings and don’t let the weather stop the outdoor adventuring!
Nice one guys, high spirits despite the rain.
3 weeks til half-term! Don’t hibernate just yet… Come and join us for more fun this autumn in the woods… Tuesday 27th and Thursday 29th October. Bring a friend! Get cozy round the campfire, get creative with some craft, and wrap-up for some wildness!
Please confirm your places for tomorrow’s session- it’s looking busy so make sure your child is on the list! Also send us an activity request from your child and we’ll see if we can include it!
