Adults and children alike from Punnetts Town C.P. School are enjoying their weekly outings to the woods very much. We’ve been spotting signs of spring, identifying winter twigs, collecting kindling wood, hunting for invertebrates, building shelters for different creatures, building bridges over the stream, sawing and whittling greenwood, creating nature-god effigies from natural materials, playing lots of games and drinking hot chocolate. Thank you to all of Year 5 and Year 1 and their brilliant supporting adults. Looking forward to working with Year 3 and 4 next term.
Unfortunately we will NOT be running a session this autumn half-term.
We’ll be back in 2017 if not before, so get in touch to be added to the mailing list to hear about future dates.
Good old English summertime… Once again we are having to keep an eye on the weather and will be risk assessing the site in advance of Thursday’s session. We will be confirming arrangements tomorrow and will be in touch if you have booked on.
We are just running one date in half term, Thursday 2nd June. Be sure to grab your spot! We will be making musical instruments from natural resources, trying some new games, seeing what creatures and changes the new season brings to the woods. Get your wellies out and join in!
Sorry if you’ve missed out this time… but do get in touch if you’d like to book for the summer half-term (31st May and 2nd June).
